| Q. What is the difference between airbrush/HVLP tanning anyway? |
| A. This is not as complicated as it seems. Airbrush spray tanning is applied with very small airbrush compressor equipment by a technician. HVLP tanning is applied the same way, but with a High Volume, Low Pressure (HVLP) system. HVLP equipment offers significantly faster application time and an easier application process, which translates into a much shorter learning curve for the professional technician and a lot less work. | Q. Which is the best system for me? |
A.Well, that depends on what you want to use it for. Airbrush equipment is less expensive, but it takes a longer time to spray each client. Airbrush spray tanning can take upwards of 15 to 25 minutes per client. Also airbrush systems produce a lot more overspray than HVLP equipment, which means solution literally thrown away. HVLP equipment is a higher investment up front, but you can spray far more clients in the same 20 minute window, and overspray is nearly eliminated. The HVLP industry average application time is about 5 to 7 minutes per client. If you are serious about developing a solid, repeat customer base and earning some serious money, you need to cut your labor and time costs right from the beginning and that means having the best system. You know the age old saying about this 'you get what you pay for'. HVLP equipment is the Mercedes of airbrush tanning business. |

| Q. What is DHA solution and how do I know which one to use? |
| A. DHA ,or dihydroxyacetone, is an ingredient, which has been approved by the FDA for over 30 years for cosmetic applications. It reacts with the amino acids in the outer layer of the skin to produce color changes. As the skin cells wear away, the color gradually fades just like a real sun tan. Which solution you should use is largely dependent on who your clients are. Are they light, medium, or dark in skin color? There are solutions to serve all of these clients. We have found that a simple 8% or 10% solution will serve a wide range of clients the best. |

| Q. Why should I use EnvyTan solution? |
A. There are many different solutions on the market, so this question could demand a 10-page essay to thoroughly answer. We know you just want the facts, so here they are:
Each and every solution has things about it that certain
groups like. The truth is, that solution preference, in the end, will be determined more by your clients' reactions and responses than any other single factor. With that knowledge in hand, we talked to our client, we listened and then we created!
We had a team of chemists mix and match the things that our clients liked about the various solutions to come up with our own signature blend that out performs the others.
Our solution says 'yes' where other solutions can't! Here are some performance questions to consider:
-Does the tanning solution have a color guard so that I can see when spraying a client? -Does the tanning solution dry quickly? -Is the client happy after their first shower? -Does the solution leave a funny smelling odor? -Does the tan fade evenly? -Does the tan last for a reasonable amount of time, usually between 7-10 days?
EnvyTan solution provides the right answer to all of those questions. You don't just have to take our word for it, either - we are the #1 Power sellers on Ebay of all DHA airbrush tanning solution, because our solution delivers.

| Q. How do I know which products to offer my clients for preparing and maintaining their tan? |
A. There are really only three. The first is an Exfoliator, which is used prior to the sunless tanning application to remove oils and debris from skin. It is best to use a non oil based exfoliator, or one that is specifically designed for airbrush spray tanning. The second is a Tan Extender, or Tan Lotion, which is applied everyday after the sunless tan to maintain a rich tan look. The last is a Touch Up Spray, which is applied between sunless tan applications as the client sees gradual fading. If your clients will be traveling, you might want to recommend a DHA based moisturizer (such as Moroccan Mineral) to prolong the life of their tan. |

| Q. There are so many different brands. How do I choose? |
| A. You have to choose based on what you know will keep your clients happy and loyal. Most salons offer a full line of tan maintenance and tan extender products. Our salons increase their profits by offering these products to their sunless tanning customers. The line of tan maintenance products that we carry is well regarded in the industry as being the best in class. Our products are affordable, cruelty free, and get the job done. |

| Q. How do I get trained and certified so that I am able to perform this service for my clients? |
| A. This is something we struggled with a great deal in the beginning. Our best advice is two fold. First, get certified. This will give your clients the peace of mind that you know what you are doing. For information on how and where to get certified, please visit our Airbrush Training page in the Envystore. Secondly, take a short local course on HVLP application technique to gain the skills you need in person. We know that a lot of times there will not be a local trainer available, and in that situation, we recommend purchasing our airbrush tanning video to get you started. We notify our customers of local training when it is available in their area. We offer these services to our salons and our beginner mobile technicians as a great way to meet, and network with local people in your area and industry. |

| Q. How do I find my clients? |
A. You let them find you. You just
have to ask yourself some pretty basic questions like:
-Where do my clients shop? -What do they read? -Where do they go? Finding clients for this service is just about putting
your advertisements where they are. Let us give you some suggestions to get the ball rolling. A lot of your clients probably do at least some of the following; they go to they gym, they read health and beauty magazines, etc. We also have services available to help you develop a client base. |

| Q. How do I know what to charge my clients? |
| A. This answer really depends on whether you are in a salon or operating on your own in a mobile tanning business. If you are in a salon, then you have to decide if you will offer packages of single tans, 10 or 15 tans, etc. The best way to keep clients is to give them a reason to stay. When we first started, we decided it was best to offer our mobile tanning clients both individual and party rates. If we were spraying just one client, the price was higher. The price came down when we increased the number of people that we sprayed at one party or location. You will notice that as more people get into this market, the prices will come down. This is why it is extremely important to offer something unique to your client base. We can give you area averages based on our industry experience for your location in the beginning. |

| Q. What can I offer my clients to keep them coming back to me? |
| A. Offer them exactly what you would want-Great Service! If your appointment is at 2PM, then you need to make sure that you are there, set up, and have informed the client of everything before your session begins. You need to be ready to actually begin spraying by 2PM, which shows that you place a high value on the client's time. You also want to offer them everything that they will need before, during, and after their tanning session with you. We carry absolutely everything that you should need to help your clients enjoy their tan and they keep coming back.If you take care of your clients, they will take care of you. |
