Skin Type Chart
This chart will help you assess your client’s skin type so that you are able to choose the best possible spray tanning solution for their skin type and tone. Pre- and Post-Tan Instructions
This sheet will give clients a very simple step-by-step list of instructions about what to do before their tan (shave/exfoliate/etc.), during their tan (use barrier cream/wear disposables/etc.) and after their spray tan (moisturize/use a tan extender/etc.). This sheet will give clients very simple suggestions about the best types of things to wear/and not to wear to their spray tanning session. It will include a recommendation to wear cotton fabric, because DHA tanning solution tends not to stain this type of fabric permanently. This sheet will encourage your clients to wear dark, loose fitting clothing and flip flops to and from their spray tan appointment, and dark undergarments during their spray tan to avoid staining lighter fabrics.
Client History Form and Waiver
This sheet will ask your clients questions about their skin type (oily/dry/etc.), skin tone (red/green/blue undertones in their skin color), and skin sensitivity (acne prone skin). Your client’s will also be able to tell you about their prior sunless tanning experiences and color results, along with any skin conditions that they may have (rosacea/eczema/etc.) Your client will be asked to identify any allergies that they may have (peanut oils/aloe/etc.) and if they have asthma or any other respiratory illness. The form will ask about your client’s exercise frequency and sunscreen habits (do they wear sunscreen/etc.)This form will also serve as a waiver, giving you protection from client conditions that may arise as a result of spray tanning, which could not have been foreseen by either you or the client.
Client Information Snapshot
This form is for the spray tanning technician to keep a record about each client. (solution used/products sold/skin conditions that the client may have/frequency of appointments / birthday / size of disposables / contact info / preferences / customer loyalty programs / etc.
When Bad Tans Happen to Good People
This is a one page cheat sheet for the client to take home with them. There are times when clients will have less than perfect color results. This sheet gives them the tips and tricks to remove or lighten their spray tan.
