The Understudy: T100 Mini Mist True Spray: (Product Dimensions: 12”x 7” x 10”)

This is a wonderful piece of starter equipment for the price point. This unit weighs roughly 6 lbs and has a shoulder strap for easy carrying and comes with a built in gun holder to rest your gun inside of should you need to grab something during the spray tanning session. This does come in handy, trust us. It is roughly the size of a gallon of milk. It is lightweight and the perfect choice for someone who spray tans one client and then has time between appointments to let the machine cool down. This piece of equipment is the less industrial grade version of it’s two big brothers the T700 and the TC3. This piece of equipment is designed for medium usage (recommended for 2-5 spray tans a day) and maximum mobility. A lot of our technicians choose to start out with the T100 and then move up to the T700 or the TC3 after establishing a larger client base. The T100 is well suited for the part time or travelling spray tanning technician. The T100 is always a great piece of back up equipment to have around, or as your main piece of equipment in the field while you are starting out. This HVLP sprayer sounds like a vacuum cleaner, so if noise is a concern for you (i.e., you will be spray tanning in a posh spa like environment) then this is not the piece of equipment for you. Also, if you are going to be hosting spray-tanning parties, where you will be tanning customers back to back, without breaks in between, then this is also not the ideal equipment choice for your application. If you will be tanning in either of the types of settings above, then please do yourself a favor and upgrade to the T700 or TC3, because those are the right pieces of equipment for your business application.  The Performer: T700 Sun Mist Speedy Spray: (Product Dimensions: 11”x 7” x 11”)

This is the workhorse of the industry. It is the no nonsense, die-hard, all metal HVLP sprayer that can take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’. This piece of equipment is ideal for either salon based or mobile spray tanning professionals who use their equipment all day long. This commercial grade HVLP sprayer will be your best friend in a hurried spray tanning environment or on the road, as it is very durable and still light enough to be highly portable. This unit weighs just less than 20 lbs, so is still very portable for any technician. It is roughly the size of a toaster, and has variable control speeds and a quieter sound than the smaller T100. However, if sound is still genuinely a concern for your tanning application, then the TC3 is the only real piece of equipment for you to consider. This unit comes with a 1-year warranty and automatically qualifies you for our EnvyTan Equipment loaner program.

 Star Power: TC3 Whisper Mist Work Station: (Product Dimensions: 22”x 19” x 23”)

The only true choice for a day spa or salon based spray tanning professional, or for mobile spray tanning professionals who require a quiet environment. The sophisticated design of the TC3 is functionally the T700, built into a soundproofing box. This is the Cadillac of HVLP spray tanning equipment. It is roughly the size of a medium television (the kind that used to sit in your parents living room, not the flat screen version that most of us have now). It also has a handy gun cup holder on the top for ease of use during the spray tanning session. It has wheels, so is easy to transport around inside of a salon or spa type of environment. Down the road as you develop a larger client base, you may purchase a splitter, extra hose, and gun to use with the TC3 Work Station, as it is capable of running two spray tanning guns at once. This is extremely important in busy spray tanning salons or at fast paced events of any kind. The TC3 weighs roughly 35 pounds, making it a somewhat difficult choice for many mobile tanning technicians. If you are going to be spraying in an event type of setting, as in at tanning parties, or fashion shows, then this is really not an issue, because you only have to take it out and move it around once per day. However, if you are a mobile tanning technician going from home to home, than you will likely find the weight of this piece of equipment is a bit heavy for carrying up and down stairs, etc. This unit comes with a 1-year warranty and automatically qualifies you for our EnvyTan Equipment loaner program.
